TOUR PLAN
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi Kenya
Picked up at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport in Nairobi by our office Representative briefed concerning your safari then introduced to your driver and transferred to the city Hotel for check in and overnight.
Hotel booked on BB( Bed and breakfast only)
Day 2: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
After a leisurely early breakfast at the Hotel, you will be picked by your driver guide ready to start your safari of a life time where you will drive straight to Samburu National Reserve. The Samburu National Reserve is a game reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro river in Kenya. On the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve.
This Reserve was one of the two areas in which conservationists George and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness. Their story was made famous by the bestselling book and award-winning movie “Born Free”. The game reserve is renowned for its rare species of animals unique to the park, namely: the long necked gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa onyx. The elusive Kenya leopard is often known to visit the park, especially in the evenings.
Other Kenyan wildlife present in Samburu park includes cheetahs and lions, as well as elephants, buffalo and hippos. Birdlife is also as plentiful as wildlife at Samburu National Reserve, which boasts over 350 different species of birds including vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches and others. The only park that you can find all the big five and small five.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve.
Whole day in Samburu with game drives between the meals. With overnight at the Lodge.
Day 4: Samburu National Reserve to Nanyuki Olpejeta Conservancy
Breakfast and then depart for Olpejeta Conservancy via Nairobi.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 364sq km wildlife conservancy situated between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdares and its game-to-area ratio tops the Kenyan park and reserve league. Ol Pejeta has over 10000 large mammals and it is the only park where the big 5 and chimpanzees can be seen. It is also where the fastest growing population of rhino in Africa can be found. There are southern white rhino, about 80 endangered black rhino and in a special sanctuary there are three of the world’s last four remaining northern white rhino.
Arrive for lunch and check in at the Tented Camp. Thereafter have an afternoon game drive at the Ol pejeta Conservancy to return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Nanyuki Olpejeta Conservancy / Lake Naivasha
Breakfast and then drive to Lake Naivasha.
Arrive for lunch and check in at the Lodge/Tented Camp. Thereafter have an afternoon game drive at the Hells Gate National Park.
The Park is a remarkable quarter of the Great Rift Valley. Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa.
- • Also home for African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle and baboons are common. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope and Chandler’s mountain reedbuck
- • Prolific birdlife – there are over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux’s Eagles, augur buzzard and swifts.
With Optional Boat ride at the crescent island.
Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Tented camp.
Day 6: Lake Naivasha / Maasai Mara
Breakfast and then depart for the highlight of your safari.
Maasai Mara (Masai Mara)National Reserve is situated in south-west Kenya and is one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves. Together with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania it forms Africa’s most diverse, incredible and most spectacular eco-systems and possibly the world’s top safari big game viewing eco-system. Home and famous for the World’s “Great Migration”, one of the awe-inspiring natural events.
Make sure you have your safari book planned out that includes the Maasai Mara. I am sure you have heard the wildebeest migration is nothing short of amazing. It is one of the things you have to add to your bucket list. And best time to be in Kenya for it is JULY – OCTOBER.
Arrive in time for hot lunch and check in at the Lodge/Tented Camp.
Later on have an afternoon game drives at the reserve and return to the Lodge/Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 & 8: Maasai Mara National Reserve.
2 whole days in Maasai Mara National Reserve with game drives between the meals OR Optional full day game drives with packed lunch boxes at no extra cost.
With optional balloon ride safari and Maasai Village visit. (at extra cost)
All meals at the Lodge/Tented Camp.
Day 9: Maasai Mara National Reserve / Nairobi / Mombasa.
Early breakfast and then drive back to Nairobi for your flight to Mombasa for your romantic beach stay.
Mombasa is Kenya’s second largest city after Nairobi, offers travelers an exotic taste of the African tropics steeped in centuries of seafaring history. This cosmopolitan tourist hub is actually an island connected by bridges and ferries to the Kenyan coast.
Dinner and overnight at the beach hotel. Booked on HB.
Day 10 & 11: Mombasa.
Full days in Mombasa with optional beach activities (at extra cost) with meals at the beach hotel. Booked on HB.
Day 12: Mombasa / Nairobi + Departure.
