Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrival at the Kilimanjaro International airport in Arusha you will be met by our Representative and briefed concerning your safari and driven to Mt Meru Hotel for check in and overnight to start your safari the next day.

Day 2: Arusha / Lake Manyara

ARRIVE AT THE LAKE MANYARA SERENA SAFARI LODGE in time for lunch with a game drive enroute.

Dining beneath the stars against the background of the African bush is a unique and unforgettable experience. At Lake Manyara, the experience is enhanced by the fact that the lodge has its own al fresco dining area, which is located on the edge of the cliffs of the escarpment with magnificent views across the lake.

Lake Manyara National Park:.

Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara national park is one of the most beautiful places in Africa. As you enter the gate, the peak is dramatically marked off by lush green vegetation consist of all trees of ground water forest which provide home to troops baboons and blue monkey. Further down the forest opens up in to woodlands, grassland, swamps and beyond. The soda lake itself where over 350 species of bird including the lovely flamingo (lesser and greater), pelican,

The most famous spectacle in the park are the tree climbing lion which spends most of the day spreading out along branches of acacia trees 6to 7 meters above the ground. The park is also noted for its numerous buffalo, elephants, giraffe, impala, hippo and great variety of small animals which can observe in the course a single day. The park is only 130 km away from Arusha.

Day 3: Lake manyara /Serengeti

Breakfast at the Lodge then exit the park headed Serengeti National Park.

The name Serengeti is an approximation of the word used by the Masai to describe the area. The park covers 14,763 km² (5,700 square miles) of grassland plains and savannah as well as riverine forest and woodlands. The park lies in the north of the country, bordered to the north by the national Tanzania and Kenyan border, where it is continuous with the Masai Mara National Reserve.

Afternoon game drives at the Serengeti Park.

The Serengeti region encompasses the Serengeti National Park itself, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Maswa Game Reserve, the Loliondo, Grumeti and Ikorongo Controlled Areas and merges with the Masai Mara National Park in Kenya.

The Serengeti's unique ecosystem and abundant flora and fauna have inspired writers, photographers and filmmakers and it's not difficult to see why. Longest and greatest show on earth, the Great Migration takes place every year and is quite a spectacle to behold! Being there at the height of the migration is a never to be forgotten experience.

Day 4: Serengeti

Another full day game drive in Serengeti with picnic lunch boxes to get to the deeper Serengeti in search of the big 5 and wildebeest migrations.

Day 5: Serengeti / Ngorongoro

Morning breakfast and then depart with packed lunch boxes for Ngorongoro Conservancy Area and crater tour visit.

Ngorongoro Crater: It is one of the world's greatest natural spectacles; its magical setting and abundant wildlife never fail to enthral visitors. It borders the Serengeti National Park to the north and west. A few hours drive to the east takes you to the town of Arusha which nestles at the foot of Mount Meru, within view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arusha is known as the gateway to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Northern Park.The main feature of the NCA is the Ngorongoro Crater, which is the world's largest unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera. The Crater, which formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago, is 610 m (2,001 ft) deep and its floor covers 260 km² (102 square miles). Estimates of the height of the original volcano range from fifteen to nineteen thousand feet (4500 to 5800 metres) high.

Later in the evening you will then check in at the Bougainvillea Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Ngorongoro / Arusha + Departure

After breakfast, you will then drive back to Arusha for your home bound flight.
